amy dufault Director of Communications, the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator & Co-Director, Southeastern New England Fibershed

Amy DuFault is part of the founding team that created the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator (BF+DA), a Pratt Institute initiative. The BF+DA serves as a hub for ethical fashion and design providing design entrepreneurs, creative technologists and industry professionals with the resources they need to transform their ideas from prototype to production. The space has mentored and launched over 40 sustainable businesses since its inception.

As Director of Communications, Amy runs all digital content, creates brand partnerships and works with the Executive Director creating thought leadership in the form of high-level events as well as articles.

For over 6 years, Amy has also worked as the Digital Content & Brands Director for natural dye supplier and production house Botanical Colors. Botanical Colors works with large and small fashion brands helping scale natural dyes into their collections. 

In addition to being a sustainable fashion journalist for the past decade at such news outlets at The Guardian and Participant Media, Amy also co-organizes the Southeastern New England Fibershedand with her team is working to rebuild a regional fiber system in Southeastern New England centered around local fibers, local dyes, and local manufacturing.
